Give your sweetheart on February 14 the opportunity to admire the butterflies migration in Miokan, the Mexican province. Or travel to the carnival in Salvador, that is more sincere but less famous as the Rio carnival. It is much less directed and everyone can join the marchers.
In March you can say goodbye to winter on a cheerful note, the easiest way is to go to a festival of snow and music in Mayrhofen, Austria.

If you like politics more than dancing but want to free your creative potential, you may travel to Valencia where people are building a papier-mache giant dolls of known public figures. It does not matter if your created doll will appear unsuccessful: they will all be happily burned in the last day of the fire festival. They say that the spectacle of the burning of giant figures with parts of the "body" separating from them fascinates and impresses more than some ambitious fireworks.
To celebrate the arrival of warmth and spring you may visit the orange festival in Netherlands. The most interesting thing happening in The Hague, where the palace of the Queen is located, and in Amsterdam, where the orange human river moves in accordance with the meanders of channels, sings, dances and lights the fireworks. The evening ends with a carnival.
Alternatively you may go to Barcelona at St. George's Day, which is the colorful analogue of Valentine's Day, when there are red roses everywhere in the streets, and in the square outside the cathedral a flock of dragons sits peacefully.
Choosing where to go in May, pay attention to the Scottish Whisky Festival. You can visit the distillery that is usually closed to the public and take part in tastings of rare vintage varieties of whisky.
In June, it is best to choose the white nights in St. Petersburg. You can walk at night enjoying the mystical and romantic atmosphere of the city on Neva river.
Going to the traditional European resorts in July and August would probably be not a good idea: it is hot and everywhere there are crowds of people. Much better and more interesting can be a exciting journey along the rivers and lakes of Finland. And the choice of water means of transport can be anything from a kayak or raft up to a comfortable boat. Waterway maps are drawn down to the minutest details so even the novice traveler will not get lost in the numerous lakes and rivers.
In August, it's time to go to Ireland for a traditional Puck Fair, the world's oldest secular holiday. In October you can go to the camels fair in the Indian city of Pushkar (Rajasthan). Visited once solely by locals, the fair has now evolved into not only the largest place of animals trade, but also into a national festival that attracts many tourists. Carnival atmosphere and fun makes it attractive to all.
In November it could be interesting to visit the show in the open air at the Brandenburg gate dedicated to the fall of Berlin Wall.
To escape from the preparings to Christmas holydays and get entirely different impressions you can go to a festival of dancing dervishes in the Turkish city of Konya in December.

And of course in every time of season you can travel to Mexico.
You may go to the beautiful beaches of Cancun, Riviera Maya or Acapulco and get unforgivable experience. And what else is must-see in Mexico?
Mexico City today is one of the highest (2240 m above sea level) and the largest megacities in the world (more than 21 million people). Here, as in any other world capitals you can hear echoes of the quiet life of far and near periods of time.
In place of the main Zocalo square the ruins of the Aztec city of Tenochtitlan were accidentally dug up during the construction of subways. When the Spaniards first saw it, they decided that they were in paradise, but that did not stop them from destroying the city of the Aztecs and built from the same rocks Mexico City. It is also the Presidential Palace, decorated with frescoes by Diego Rivera, as well as the largest in Latin America Catholic Cathedral. Today the cathedral is a recognizable symbol of the city.
